Leon’s is open 7 days/week from 11am-10pm.
We are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and for dinner service on Christmas Eve.
While we do not have a dress code at Leon’s and we are casual in spirit, we ask that gentlemen wear shirts with sleeves (no tank-tops, please).
We love when our well-behaved K9 friends come to visit us and absolutely allow them on our patio. Don’t be surprised if your pup is greeted before you.
We do not offer a kids menu, however parents have always found options for their children on our regular menu. A fried chicken breast, a plain chicken sandwich, scalloped potatoes, and fried shrimp to name a few.
We offer reservations for parties of 6-12. We do not accept same-day reservations. Reservations can be booked via Resy or by calling the restaurant.
The absolute largest reservation we can accommodate is a party of 12. If your party size is larger than 12, please contact our Event Director at events@leonsoystershop.com for more options.
Our restaurant is very much designed for walk-ins. While we may have to put you on our waitlist, our host team will take great care of you and get you seated as quickly as possible. If you have a group of 6 or more, we highly suggest booking a reservation.
We host private dining groups on our back patio, which accommodates up to 24 people. We also have an event space, The Oyster Shed, adjacent to Leon’s, for a one of a kind private dining experience in downtown Charleston. The Oyster Shed holds groups up to 65 seated and 70 standing. For more information regarding availability, menus, and pricing, please reach out to our Event Director at events@leonsoystershop.com.
We frequently start a waitlist during peak hours of business, especially on the weekends. Our teams will work closely with you to ensure you have a comfortable wait and are seated as quickly as possible.
Please alert your server if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, so they can guide you through the menu and ensure a safe dining experience. While we have limited vegan options, we do have plenty of gluten free options or items that can be modified to be gluten free. Our fried chicken is not and cannot be gluten free.
While we do not have any time limits for tables, we suggest that our reservations of 6 or more enjoy their experience in 2.5 hours or less. This way, we can offer the same great experience to the next group wanting to dine.
Yes; we have multiple patios and can seat them during inclement weather.
While we cannot accommodate any luggage table-side or in our front lobby area, we are happy to check your luggage for a fee while you dine with us. We charge $9/bag upon arrival at our host stand.
If you book a reservation and are unable to join us, we kindly ask you to call the restaurant and let us know with at least 24 hours notice. If your reservation is canceled within 24 hours of the reservation time, you may be charged $25/person.
We offer complimentary parking in marked spaces in the lot across from the Greek Orthodox Church at 19 Race St. Guests can also park on the street, but we advise against parking in the neighborhood behind Leon’s as the streets are extremely tight.
We do not have any TV’s at Leon’s.
